This paper tests your ability to deal with different types of texts, including understanding meaning, structure, and language usage. It consists of 7-8 parts with 52-56 questions.

This paper tests your ability to produce clear, well-structured texts in different styles and registers. It consists of 2 parts.

Assessment: Content, Communicative Achievement, Organisation, and Language — each equally weighted.
This paper tests your ability to understand spoken English from a range of sources. It consists of 4 parts with 30 questions. Each recording is played twice (unlike IELTS where it's played only once).
Duration: Approximately 40 minutes for all levels
This paper tests your ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face situations. It's conducted with two candidates and two examiners, comprising 4 parts.
Duration: 14-15 minutes per pair
Assessment: Grammar & Vocabulary, Discourse Management, Pronunciation, Interactive Communication
Results are reported on the Cambridge English Scale, a range of scores used to report exam results. Each exam targets a specific CEFR level, but candidates can also demonstrate ability at one level above or below the target.
